ARM version Windows 8 abandon Flash and only support Metro applications

According to news from Electronista, Steven Sinofsky who is the director of Windows 8 department has said that ARM version Windows 8 won’t support any plug-ins. He explains that even the IE browser run as desktop mode cannot run Flash or any similar browser loading items.

However, Windows 8 run on Intel x 86 framework chips still can support Flash, but only on desktop mode. It cannot be used on Metro interface. Microsoft is gradually turning to the support of the generally standard such as HTML5.

Besides from the built-in Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote can be directly run and support the desktop mode, the other third-party applications should be recompiled and can only run under desktop mode.
